today (or rather yesterday) marks the start of FOC, also known as Festival of Chinese. in preparation of Nov 10th O levels Higher Chinese..

ok i don't know why i had such a strong urge to type the above sentence. ok never mind. that was too random.. 

went vivo yesterday for the xbox360 gaming showdown. that's like only my 3rd or 4th time there? lol..

we actually went there to participate in the beatles rock band challenge. tried to register, but the guy said all 4 members must be present. in the end, my cousins all damn late..

so while waiting for them, i went to play fifa10. quite fun

ok. now let's talk about the game itself. we actually came with the mindset that rock band = guitar hero. thus the beatles rock band should not be a problem. but to our surprise when we tried the game itself. wth=.= fail fail fail. the whole feeling is so different. the guitar tabs is weird and strumming wasn't any better. FYI: that was my first time ever touching a bloody rock band set. plus only we don't even listen to the beatles, so we barely know any of their songs..

it was all the same old people from e2max. all the familiar faces: the neo/ teo brother and herbert. sighs so it was our turn next. i can't believe i failed my guitars twice on stage. failing a third time would mean a bye bye.. phew we barely passed. and glad to know we are the top10 beatles rock band in singapore!! lol cos there were only 11 teams around. err not bad considering this was our first time at the game?

after we finish playing. the emcee sorta interviewed me. and asked me about our performances. then i replied: we play more guitar hero, so this is our first time trying out this game blah blah. then he asked me this epic question "so what would you do, if you win these vivo city vouchers?" i went errrr "you would probably buy this game first rite *laughs*"

then after that we went for lunch. before going back again to see some of the games. DJ hero looks cool, but pretty darn complicated too. next was the showcase of LIPS: number one hits! and the 987FM DJs were there- Mr Young and Desiree Lai!!

me and my cousin was humming to just dance with the little girl on stage. then one of the xbox dudes asked us if we were interested to give it a try. haha why not rite? =DD so we went up next. they asked us to choose sugar babes song=.=

haha in the end we sang hey there delilah! haha damn fun. and mr young made fun of shaotang's name. lolol and one of us had a vibrato's voice =.=

it was damn fun la. quite tempted to buy LIPS now. its basically a karaoke set. but players can vs each other. and points would be accumulated by reaching the notes and doing some weird actions. our combined score was 2million +

and i shook Mr Young and Desiree's hand!! =DD we got a xbox360 watch each. awesome!

lol somehow after i sang, the crowd grew and there were so much more people who wanted to go up there and sing. then there was this dude who chose the song "(I Just) Died in Your Arms" to challenge Mr Young. then Mr Young went "What?! This song is from gold 90.5FM crap!" oh my god. can't believe he said that. damn funny la.
